This is a perfect opportunity if you are looking for company on you trek, if you are a group of girlfriends who want to do the trek together or perhaps this summer’s mother and daughter activity? Join us on a trek through one of the most beautiful mountain regions in the world. Being accompanied by a guide allows you to comfortably enjoy the trek while learning all essential things about trekking in this type of environment, all in the company of like-minded girls.

Among other practical trekking knowledge, tour guide will teach you how to navigate using map and compass, how to raise your tent and use your camping stove. You will also go through the Swedish right of public access - Allemansrätten in which you will receive a diploma in addition to your medal for completing the trek. You will learn a lot about the nature and surroundings along Kungsleden through the guide’s knowledge as well as through the people you meet along the trail.

When arriving in Kiruna airport or train station the Fjällräven Classic buses will take you to the Högalid school. This is where you will meet up with your guide and the group gathers to get to know each other and prepare for the trek. Together you will go through your equipment.

You will have dinner together and spend the night in Camp Ripan. After breakfast the next day you will have time for a last check of your gear before it is time to head for the starting point. This is also the point where you leave any baggage you want transported to the finish in Abisko. The Fjällräven bus will take your group to Nikkaluokta in time for your start at 01.00 pm on august 8th.

The trek

The trail runs through one of the most beautiful mountain regions in the world. The trek takes you from the village of Nikkaluokta in the south to Abisko in the north and travels 110 km along the classic hiking trail Kungsleden (“The King’s Trail”), passing through breathtaking mountainous regions and lush, green valleys. You pass the foot of impressive Mt. Kebnekaise, trek the challenging and barren Tjäktja Pass and wander through the grassy moors of Alesjaure. Detailed information about each stage can be found here.

Your guide will adapt the pace according to the level of the group. Apart from the safety of trekking with a guide you will pass six check points along the trail. In some of them you can fill up your food and gas supplies or enjoy a sauna, at every checkpoint there is medical staff.

The weather , wind and the group will determine how long it will take you to reach Abisko. If you feel strong and conditions are good, it is likely that you will reach the finish line after five days which is what the guide is planning for, but it may also take six days. When you cross the finish line and arrive at Abisko mountain station you will receive your well-deserved medal and you can enjoy a refreshing drink in Fjällrävens own pub -Trekkers Inn where you and the rest of the group can relax and

exchange stories from the trail with other participants. Depending on what time the group reaches Abisko you will have dinner together in the restaurant and you can enjoy all the comfort offered such as hot showers and sauna in the mountain station which is where you will be spending the night.

After the trek you will spend a day in Abisko where there is a lot to see and experience. Together with the guide you will round off your adventure with a visit to the national park and Naturum.
